Raffle proceeds to go to Selfless Love Foundation

ATLANTA, Ga., – As Tequila Patrón ESM prepares for its final race with longtime team and series sponsor Tequila Patrón in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, driver Ryan Dalziel created a special edition helmet for this weekend’s season finale, Petit Le Mans. As tribute to Tequila Patrón, Patrón Spirits CEO Ed Brown, his wife Ashley, and their charity, Selfless Love Foundation, the green, black, and silver helmet will be raffled off, with all proceeds going to the charity.

Tequila Patrón became the primary sponsor for Extreme Speed Motorsports (ESM) in 2010, creating the striking black and green liveries so familiar to sports car fans across the world. Under the banner Tequila Patrón ESM, the team raced stateside in the American Le Mans Series, TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and internationally in the World Endurance Championship. The brand also invested in the IMSA championship as a series sponsor, contributing to the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup.

“I wanted to honor Ed Brown and Tequila Patrón’s massive contribution to not just myself, but the sports car community over the years,” said Dalziel. “What Ed and Patrón have done will probably never be repeated in terms of duration and financial contributions. My five seasons at Tequila Patrón ESM have been some of my most special memories and I wanted to show Ed just how much his loyalty has meant to me.”

Traditional racing with an orange tartan helmet scheme, Dalziel’s new helmet will run a similar design but use Patrón’s iconic green with silver accents. A Patrón Bottle sits at the back of the helmet, accompanied by a personal message from Dalziel to Brown. The front of the helmet sports the Patrón logo with the iconic bee, with the Selfless Love Foundation logo on the top.

“I am very proud of my friendship with Ed, and I just want to say thank you to him and all the good people at Patrón for supporting ESM and myself,” said Dalziel. “Ed and his wife Ashley have a charity, Selfless Love Foundation, and my wife and I are big supporters of this amazing cause. We thought what better way to honor Ed than to raffle off the helmet after petit and donate all the proceeds to their charity.”

With over 100,000 children in foster care waiting to be adopted, Selfless Love foundation is dedicated to transforming lives of current and former foster youth, through awareness and strategic partnerships. More information can be found at selflesslovefoundation.org.

The raffle for the special edition helmet, now live, will run until November 7, 2018 at 12:00PM. Tickets start at $25.00, with the option to purchase five for $100.00. To find out more, click the button below.
