Objective Redemption For Dalziel & Forest At Mid-Ohio!

The Mid-Ohio EMCO Gears Classic is the 7th round of the 2010 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series season. Following a disappointing race for both Starworks Motorsport Dinan-BMW Riley DP entries, Starworks Motorsport drivers, team owner, engineers and crew are all looking for a great racing weekend in Ohio.

Freshly returned from France where he raced for the first time at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ryan Dalziel who sits 2nd in the 2010 Rolex Series Driver point standings before the Mid-Ohio event is eager to get back in his #8 Corsa Car Care racecar to fight back after the unlucky drive at the Six Hours of The Glen two weeks ago. "I am really excited to get back behind the wheel of the Starworks machine,” announced Ryan. “We had a rough race at Watkins Glen, and although only 2 weeks ago it seems like months ago that we were there. I left Watkins Glen really disappointed and for a couple days I was pretty down. But for the past week leading up to Mid-Ohio I am getting more and more anxious to get back in the #8 Corsa Car Care entry and get some redemption in the Rolex Series. We need to take points out of Ganassi if we are to stop them in the series standings and with the Suntrust #10 car having a string of consistent podiums we have to start pushing for victories. Nothing else will matter at this point. I know my crew have been working long hours preparing the car since Watkins Glen and I will repay their hard work with a great result at Mid-Ohio,” concluded Dalziel.

Mike Forest is having a sensational season so far and sits 5th in the 2010 Rolex Series driver point standings, close to 3rd.  “Mid Ohio is going to be a great weekend for us, it is a challenging track but it promotes very good racing,” declared Forest. “I know Bill Riley will give us a good car and Ryan and the rest of the Starworks team will continue to do a tremendous job so we should have a successful weekend,” added the Canadian.

The EMCO Gears Classic event will be raced at Mid-Ohio on Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19. The race is scheduled to start Saturday, June 19 at 5:00 PM ET and will be live on SPEED TV.
